American V8 Classics and Customs in Alpharetta, GA presents a one of a kind 1969 Camaro Coupe utilizing lightweight Aluminum Auto Metal Direct Sheet Metal Painted with a three stage PPG Vibrance paint accented by AV8 Polished Aluminum striping.
This Classic Coupe is powered by two identical custom built Aluminum Grimes Twister Engines (427 cu in x 2 = 854 cu in (or) Ls7 + Ls7 = 14.0 Liter Lsx) producing 600 HP/ 595 Ft/lbs EACH which equals 1,200 streetable HP. Each engine has a custom Collies Crankshaft, Forged JE Pistons, Special Grind Comp Cam, Custom Fluidamp Balancers and precision assembled with ARP bolts. The rear engine drives a Level VII RPM Transmissions 4L60E Automatic controlled by a B&M Shifter and coupled to a modified Corvette C6/ Z06 Differential/ Rear suspension. The AV8 Customized Frame is from Art Morrison Enterprises.
The two in one radiator fabricated by Jim Walker of AutoRad is located in front of the aluminum core support and is cooled by six Spal electric fans. An electric pump provides cooling for the rear engine and a Concept One Victory Lsx Pulley system is on the front. The front engine has a front 6.5 qt. wet sump oil pan and the rear one utilizes a 7.0 qt. rear wet sump. To power the amplified sound system and accessories as well as kicking over all 16 cylinders in synch, a Powermaster 160 Amp Alternator and Starters will be phased into a custom American Autowire Wiring Harness.
Of course, American V8 wouldn’t leave out their traditional in dash 8 track system. The Headers and Flowmaster exhaust will be routed through discreet Portals in the frame and a custom AV8 SS fuel Tank is located under the traditional trunk area which retains enough space for 2 sets of Golf Clubs for the weekend outing to the Club.
Inside the Dash and the Ididit steering column with chrome steering wheel are extended three inches and the AV8 Upholstered bucket seats and Safety Roll-bar are likewise re-positioned three inches rearward. 20 x 12 rear wheels and 18 x 9 front wheels put the power to the pavement.
